When an offer to work with the Northwest's largest builder of biofueling stations called, we teamed up with friends at Nonbox and uncovered a planning strategy that would target red-blooded, bigass F250-driving Americans instead of the typical urban hippie types. Since rollout in Seattle at six locations, Propel continues to grow under this brand plan with roughly 30 Clean Fuel Points across the West Coast. As of August 2010, the company received $11 million in state and federal grant funding, and plans to open 75 more Clean Fuel Points across California in the next two years.
